Goldstone PE Buddy Project - Final Reflection
In our last week of our Goldstone PE buddy project, we need to reflect of our experience both as PE leaders and PE buddies. Your buddies will miss you - Ms. Sader says that her class talks about their big buddies all the time & that her students bring things from home that they want to show you. How great is that! You all really have an impact on these kids!
Complete this as a blog post or on paper - either format is due today.
PE leaders -
1. What adjustments and improvements did you make in your lessons (structure, activities, organization, instructions) from the first lesson to the last one?
At the start we made the grade ones to line up on the side line to do countless activities such as jogging, high knees and more however, the kids in my class were not participating that much which is the reason for our last class we decided to play freeze tag with the grade ones therefore, everyone had to participate including my age. Everyone loved playing freeze kids because the little kids were trying so hard to catch us and we were trying to run away from them.
2. What was the biggest challenge for your group? For you?

2. What was the biggest challenge for your group? For you?
The biggest challenge for my group was interacting with the grade ones at the start of the class however, it got a lot easier at the last week because I got experience from leading the class and for my workplace I had to work with little kids.
3. Describe your favourite moment as a leader and explain why.
My favorite moment as a leader was playing capture the flag with the grade ones because I loved the energy they had and how they never gave up even when I was faster than them.
4. What do you still need to work on? What improvements would you make if you were continuing teaching for another month?
I had to continue teaching for another month then I would have to improve on being more loud so they can understand the directions better.
PE Buddies -
1. What are some of the things that you learned being a PE buddy?
I learnt that it does not matter what the kids play, they will have have fun with anything for example we played a game where all they had to do was throw a beanbag which seemed really boring to me however, they had a blast. They were running and trying so hard to throw the beanbag to the other side.
2. Did your comfort level change over the course of the month? Why or why not?
My comfort level did not change throughout the month because I was already comfortable taking in front of the little kids because of working with Drive Basketball for work experience.
3. What was your favourite part of being a buddy? Be specific.
My favorite part of being a buddy was participating with little kids during the games not the warm-ups even though they were having fun during the warm-ups I was not although, I loved to participate in the games we played every class.
